NJ Beach Wedding

A few weeks ago I shared with you the inspiration for Kristin and Andrew’s Windows on the Water Wedding in Seabright, New Jersey. And ya’ know when you just know something  is gonna be totally gorgeous and easy-going? Well, I knew this wedding was going to be such a blast and that every thing was going to be simply beautiful as soon as Kristin and her mom, Eva, shared their Pintrest with me. (Every. Single. Thing.) Kristin, Eva, and I worked long-distance for over two months to plan wedding details for the big day. See the inspiration here. Kristin and Andrew live in Florida. Eva and I are in New Jersey. And all the hard work was all worth it, because Kristin and Andrew had a spectacular beach-front wedding in Seabright, NJ.

I was a little nervous the week of their wedding. The east coast had just dodged a hurricane, but the forecast was for rain during their wedding weekend. The weather managed to cooperate, for the most part. I know Kristin and Andrew had hoped for an outdoor ceremony on the beach, but the weather was only willing to cooperate long enough to provide them with gorgeous outdoor photography and a spectacularly sweet and beautiful first look in historically-awesome Asbury Park.

Their day began at The Asbury Hotel. If you’ve never been there, it’s sleek and contemporary with a low-key atmosphere. Nothing pretentious, just hip and fun! I loved that the bride and groom were getting ready in the same location. But this was a last-minute change. Initially, the groom was going to get ready for the ceremony at a hotel closer to their venue. But the Atlantic Ocean had other plans, and the night before the wedding, he found his room had quite a bit of the ocean in it!!! Neither Kristin nor Andrew panicked. They made arrangements for the groomsmen to stay at  The Asbury Hotel (where the bridal party was already staying), while I got on the phone and made calls to their transportation and their photographer, Devin Peppler, to arrange for timeline and location tweaks to accommodate the change.

When I arrived the next morning at The Asbury Hotel I found Kristin, with her girls, listening to music and wearing the cutest floral robes. I got right to work, pouring champagne and hanging a few cute decoration in their room. I ran down to the street to meet Kathy from Wildflowers Florist for delivery. And the flowers, where simply to-die-for-gorgeous!

Because of the iffy weather forecast, we had to make decisions to accommodate either an indoor or outdoor ceremony. For the most part, I was concerned with the floral designs for the ceremony. We decided at the last-minute to go with super-tall columns and florals that would work for both an indoor and outdoor wedding ceremony. Kathy, at Wildflowers Florist in Wall Township was a God-send. She allowed us to make design tweaks to the ceremony flowers the night before. In the end, she brainstormed a solution that would work wither inside or outside. She might be a genius!

After the ceremony, the weather continued to cooperate just long enough for a few pictures on the beach. What an adorably happy and in love groom. It is so clear that this couple enjoys and loves one another, and that they were so excited to be married!

And all this was followed by an amazing party! Full of perfect beach wedding details. Nothing fussy and over the top, just simple and perfect.

It was such a joy to sit back and watch as Kristin and Andrew partied away the evening surrounded by friends and family.

I think the best moment of the night was while packing up their decor and wrapping up the evening, I heard them leaving the venue on their Trolley to head back to The Asbury Hotel for their after party, and everyone was singing in unison! They had a blast and so did I! Congratulations Kristin and Andrew! May you enjoy many years together even happier than you were that night!

Loving Love in Barnegat, J.
